    August Intensive Series

Our August Intensive is a high-energy, immersive training experience designed to challenge and inspire dancers while elevating their technique, artistry, and performance quality. Held over three days in August, this intensive welcomes dancers into a focused learning environment led by some of the most respected instructors and artists in our region.

The faculty for this intensive is made up of our annual teaching staff along with select guest instructors, all of whom are dedicated to providing dancers with the skills, knowledge, and motivation needed to reach the next level in their training. Dancers are encouraged to arrive with open minds and a willingness to push beyond their comfort zones as they explore new styles, techniques, and perspectives.

Each day includes multiple hours of intensive classes across a variety of styles, allowing dancers to build strength, versatility, and confidence. In addition to technical growth, instructors will recognize dancers who demonstrate exceptional effort, focus, and progress by awarding daily scholarships to support continued training at their home studios.

The Summer Dance Intensive also emphasizes dancer wellness and preparedness. Structured breaks for lunch and rest are built into the day, and dancers are encouraged to fuel their bodies with nutritious meals and snacks to support a full day of movement.

This program is ideal for dancers looking to refine their skills, gain exposure to diverse teaching styles, and immerse themselves in a positive, challenging, and motivating studio environment. Whether preparing for the upcoming season or seeking fresh inspiration, dancers will leave this intensive energized, informed, and ready to grow.

    Specifics

    3-Day Intensive: August 19th - 21st

    How do I register?

Please email the studio at triplettdanceacademy@gmail.com to begin the registration process for the Intensive.

    What is the dress code?

We allow dancers to dress in “Convention Wear” for the intensive although for ballet, we would like to see clear body lines so a Leotard must be worn. Dancers can take time in between classes to get changed if necessary. Hair must be neatly secured in a bun, ponytail, or braids.

Check the class styles and make sure that proper footwear is in their dance bags.

What do you mean by Scholarships?

At the end of each day, two (2) students will be recognized by the instructors who taught that day. These dancers will receive a $50.00 scholarship to celebrate their hard work and progress in class. No matter which studio you are coming from, we will award the $50.00 amount to your home studio to be put towards your continued dance education.

Do you have any recommendations for lunch/snack planning?

Dancers will be in classes for 4 hours and 15 minutes every day of the week. The recommended plan for meals is to first ensure they have had something nourishing for breakfast. Even a small meal can aid in preventing injury and exhaustion. We encourage you to pack snacks for in-between classes. Some meal suggestions may be fruit, vegetables, cheese, protein shake, granola products, salad with protein, sandwiches, cold pasta salad, chicken salad, hummus, etc. We do not recommend soda, coffee, and energy drinks for such a long period of physical activity.
